New product line from Orion Entrance Control, Inc. unifies the best of Orion’s swing glass barrier portfolio into a single, fully configurable platform — now available

Engineered to consolidate the most sought-after features of Orion’s swing glass barrier portfolio into a single, highly configurable system, OmniLane is designed to meet the access control, technology integration, and aesthetic demands of today’s high-security commercial environments.
OmniLane made its industry debut at ISC West 2026 and is now available for orders.
We developed OmniLane to be our most flexible product yet, and that flexibility was intentional. Glass height is fully configurable from pedestal height up to six feet above finished floor, and the system integrates with the widest range of access control technologies we’ve ever supported, from card readers and mobile credentials to biometrics and identity management platforms.
We built it so organizations don’t have to choose between security performance and user experience.
Engineered around what the market asked for
OmniLane was developed in direct response to the growing security needs of the modern lobbies. The most significant mechanical advancement is the relocation of the drive shaft from an internal to an external position. This change enables swing glass barriers to descend closer to the floor and reach heights of up to 6 feet Above Finished Floor (AFF) — expanding both security performance and design flexibility beyond what our other swing glass products could offer.
Additional features include:
- Minimized floor clearance: OmniLane’s glass barriers descend significantly closer to the floor than previous Orion swing glass barrier designs, a direct result of relocating the drive shaft from an internal to an external position. This mechanical advancement eliminates the crawl-under gap, strengthening physical deterrence at the point of entry.
- Barrier heights up to 6′ AFF: Not every lobby has the same security threshold. OmniLane’s configurable swing glass barrier height, reaching up to 6 feet Above Finished Floor (AFF) gives specifiers and security teams the flexibility to match barrier height precisely to the threat profile and the aesthetic requirements of each environment.
- Rectangular flat-top pedestal replaces the hourglass-profile top of the legacy HG product with a larger, flush surface purpose-built for embedded card readers, biometric devices, and other access control technologies.
- Leveling feet enable fine-tuned pedestal alignment across uneven concrete or finished floor surfaces, ensuring a level, secure installation without subfloor remediation.
- Full standard options compatibility supports the same finish selections and access control integrations as other Orion swing barrier products
